Aust. Commonwealth Gov. has completed a study using the CALCLEAR in the
small township of Amata in central Australia.
James thoroughly
researched other water treatment systems and chose the CALCLEAR because it
was "affordable, able to do the work, easy to set up, able to be solar
powered and required no maintenance or salt".
Interestingly not only
was water softened and scale removed but occupants of the houses reported
that the water tasted more palatable and they were drinking
more.

Problems encountered
from poor high salinity bore water before were poor lathering of shampoos
and scum remaining in bath areas.
3 months after
installation of the CALCLEAR unit (April 1997) , Donald's comments were

Barry filled a 20
litre bucket of soft scale out of the bottom of his boiler when he opened
it for annual inspection and service which always involved an acid bath.
He was amazed!
"In the first ten weeks I had excellent results of
limescale removal. There were 6" large pipe-shaped pieces of limescale
falling off !The results in loss of limescale were equivalent to an acid
bath. As far as a water softener, the CALCLEAR Unit is equal to, if not
better, than a traditional water softener. I am saving $15 a week because
I don't have to pay for salt."

Suntec Consultants, our researchers in New Zealand because he was losing
80% of his lettuce crop to tipburn. The scientists agreed that the
nutrients were not being transported through the leaf to the tips.
After installing the CALCLEAR unit to his NFT hydroponic system, he
reduced his crop failure from 80 % to 5%.

Our bore water had
high salt levels which caused rusty coloured staining in our toilets and
plumbing. We were of course dubious about the Calclear Unit but we wanted
to treat the staining. We can thoroughly recommend it. Now we can use our
bore water whereas before we had to use our rainwater tank. As soon as we
put it on the water was completely different. It looked and tasted
different for a start and all the staining has gone. Before using the
Calclear Water Conditioner we were always struggling with water. I can't
remember when we ever had our 25,000 rainwater tank full
before!

Three weeks ago we
purchased a CALCLEAR Neptune and I would like to let you know how it is
performing.
Before we put the unit in we had severe iron staining in
the toilet bowl, now it is totally cleared itself - the toilet actually
beads down the toilet after flushing.
We also used to have a
lot of algae in the stock troughs - now they are crystal clear. Also it is
quite obvious that the irrigated paddocks are a lot wetter and they stay
wetter longer. I have already backed the sprinkler times back from 1 hour
to 50 minutes each night so far.

My laundry detergent
is more effective, the clothes are washing better.
There are no stains
on the clothes from the water since installing the unit but my neighbours
still have those problems. The water feels different- much softer- and my
hair feels cleaner; even the washing up liquid froths
better.

Since we installed the
Calclear Digital water conditioner at our Tindal Estate residence we have
noticed that the lime deposits on the glass of the shower recess has all
but disappeared and that the faint residue present now is easily removed
with a quick wipe of a damp cloth . The shower rose is free of lime
deposits and hair washing no longer presents a problem as the water seems
much softer and the soap and shampoo lather and foam readily .
Outside
the irrigation system is free of lime scale with no blockages in the
dripper or sprinkler units , which saves time and money not having to acid
descale the system . Once I dislodged the power plug to the unit without
knowing and in a few days noticed lime deposits on the grass from the
sprinklers in the stock paddock , I reconnected the power and in a few
more days the deposits were gone .
We have gone from being very
skeptical about the Calclear Computerised Water Conditioners to being very
satisfied with the performance of ours . One of the great features of the
units is the ease of installation .

When I installed my
Calclear unit I located it before my storage tank . Normally I have to
clean the lime and other salts deposits from the tank every 12 months or
so and it was just about time to do so , however a few
months later
after the fitting the unit I decided to clean the tank but on inspection I
was pleasantly surprised to find only grains of sand in the bottom of the
tank . Because of the high usage of water for the gardens , lawns etc' it
had cleaned the tank .
Also there is little lime deposit on the
foliage of the plants and grass now which makes the garden really pleasant
to look at and relax in ..Yes we are quite pleased with the performance
and no maintenance feature of our Calclear unit .

Our Water is fairly
"hard" and we were replacing elements in the hot water system at least
annually . Calcium deposits were also causing problems with our washing
machine , electric jug , and plumbing system in general .
In April 1998
when once again replacing an element we bought and installed a Calclear
Computerised Water Conditioner . In January 2001 we had to replace the
whole hot water system as the tank casing had separated ..Before taking
the old unit to the dump we removed the heating element and were reassured
to see that where previously the element would have been a solid lump of
lime , since installing the Calclear the lime build up was minimal .
A
great result , we're very pleased with the Calclear and look forward to a
much extended service life from all our water using appliances

My Calclear unit is
the smallest of the range that was available at the time . I only had it
treating the water to the dishwasher and shower recess .
The results
are much better than I had expected , a great reduction in lime stain /
marking on the glass shower recess and much the same in the dishwasher . A
good investment with no maintenance . |
